GH Secretagogues
CJC-1295 with DAC
Scientific Profile
CJC-1295 with DAC is a modified GRF(1-29) analog carrying a Drug Affinity Complex — a maleimidopropionic acid group at the C-terminus that forms a covalent bond with serum albumin. In vitro studies demonstrate high affinity binding to GHRH receptors, with the same four amino acid substitutions that protect the No-DAC form from enzymatic degradation.
The distinguishing feature is the albumin conjugation: where the No-DAC form has a short half-life, the DAC version remains bound to circulating albumin, and animal models show sustained GHRH receptor activation over a substantially longer period. Research indicates this extended profile results in prolonged GH release rather than increased peak amplitude.
